Here are some pictures from the World Games in Duisburg, Germany.

Our officials participated from 14th - 18th July, 2005.



Welcome to the World Games, Duisburg where countries from around the world participate under Olympic Games regulations in sports which are not yet, or no longer, part of the Olympic Games.

The Opening Ceremony

The officials mainly watched it on the television at the pub on the corner nearby, but a couple of the French officials went in to the arena to take part.  We were waiting for the Swedish officials who came in the delayed team bus with the entire Swedish team.  The pub also does great pizzas and "curry wurst".

This was the information centre for the World Games.

The entertainment shell, alongside the main arena, which was constantly buzzing at night with singers and shows.  People were always passing, as the restaurant tents were there nearby.

Back to the dragon boats after the games, while waiting to check out of the hotel and head for the flight home.
