Ausport

The Australian government currently has a very professional web site for Ausport, which is highly recommended for generic information and guidelines on officiating in Australia.
Visit www.ausport.gov.au now for interesting fact sheets and officiating templates for reports and self-assessment and the like, to assist in officiating.
Their online officiating course is recommended for all officials, as it has particularly relevant sections on dealing with cultural diversity, disability and spectator abuse.
It is easy to register and the online learning portal at Ausport to find out more about this course.
The Australian government also awards officiating scholarships. This is not to suggest that AGOA is only interested in young people with a burning passion to officiate at the highest level. In fact, AGOA may not have considered applying for such a scholarship at the time of writing. Officials in AGOA come from all walks of life with a huge range of experience, capabilities and seasons of officiating. Each brings their own unique insight and contributes to a common purpose and professional approach.
